Stahls' ID utilizes graphic applications
for the PC. The following specifications will tell you how to save
artwork from the Macintosh so it can be compatible with PC graphic
applications.
Vector Files
Note: All images that are included in the file,
that were not created in the file, must be embedded
into the file instead of linked. This way you should
have only 1 file to submit which contains all of your
artwork. For information on embedding images, please
see your program user's manual.
Illustrator®
All versions are accepted. Files must be saved
with the .eps extension. All files that use version 8 or higher
should be saved as version 8 with the .eps extension. The .eps
extension must be entered as part of the file name. This is very
important. For example: If saving a file named "tigers",
the file name would actually need to be entered as "tigers.eps".
Freehand®
All versions accepted. Files must be exported as .eps files.
The .eps extension must be entered as part of the file name.
This is very important. For example: If saving a file named "tigers",

Quark XPress®
These files cannot be accepted at this time.
Bitmap Files
Bitmap files or vector files that contain
bitmap images can be accepted. Grey level and full color bitmaps (such
as photographs) can usually be used as provided for Digital Transfers.
PhotoShop®
All versions are accepted. You need to include
the file extension as part of its file name as well. For example,
if saving a file named "tigers" as a .psd, the file
name would actually need to be entered as "tigers.psd".
Other bitmap formats
Most files with extensions .jpg, .tif, .gif, .psd and .bmp
can be viewed. They do need to be saved with the extension as
part of their name as well.
